Here is a cheaper method than clamps (not that you can avoid needing lots of clamps for other matters). I make a bunch of small "S" shaped hooks out of wire coat hangers or any old wire. My coves face up so I put pencil stubs or dowels in the cove to protect it. Then I put one S hook over the dowel, place a second S hook at edge of my previously glued strips, and stretch heavy duty office rubber bands between the two hooks. You can build up a lot of pressure this way. Two cautions: if a hook slips off it can fly around the room and there is a real risk of eye or other bodily damage, secoond, the bands must be on the outside of the deck/hull or there is a risk of building a concavity into the deck/hull between stations.
