How do you guys typically clamp the thin strips? In my first attempt I tried to glue the thin strip to the adjacent one, just like any other strip. I wasn't too happy with that because the thin strip was kind of hard to hold in place. My next attempt I pre-glued all the thin strips to a wider one on the bench. Spring clamps and packing tape held everything in place; the spring clamps held the strips flush and the packing tape squeezed the strips together. If I do this again, I'm not sure which method I would use. Maybe I would go back to putting the thin strips on the boat directly, just like I normally would except I'd use a lot more packing tape to hold them in place.
