: The Yak foot braces are by far the best, IMHO. They're durable, take a
: beating, are easy to adjust. They do get jammed with sand now and then,
: but that's not that hard to fix.

: In the summer, I generally adjust or help adjust between 8 and 16 foot braces
: a day and in the last two years, only the Yak braces on the boats have
: been consistently easy to adjust. And they're the only model not to break
: at some point in the last two years... The plastic Seadog braces break
: right at the point where the adjustment lever enters the housing.

: And, you can adjust the Yak braces with your feet or on the water by leaning
: up against the boat you're adjusting and reaching in.

Hi Bryan,

I totally agree, our local dealer also has a concession at a local park and rents (and demo's) boats constantly in season. The Yakima's never break and all the plastic ones need replacement occasionally. Downside is the Yak's are heavier. I also use them and save weight in other places, once you one time have to change them in a finished boat you really don't wanna do it again :)
