Hi All,
I'm using 3/16" strips and have been holding off routing beads and coves on them. I was wondering if there is a difference in rigidity of the finished kayak if I simply go with a beveled edge. I know the glue is usually stronger than the wood. If the glue has a greater surface to bind to (bead and cove) will the hull become more rigid. I ask because I don't have any experience with a beveled edges only hull. I don't want my hull oil-canning if I can help it.
