My response didn't make it through the filter so I will attempt to reword it. The product I use is called Solvoplast and you can get it from a farm-acy. It is intended for removing band-aid glue from skin. I have used it on a wide variety of surfaces without any problems. Wash the cleaned area with a rag and warm water. Of course, allowing the finish to dry longer probably wouldn't hurt either.
