Most of your weight must then be in the extra floor you used. What was it
made of ?

If you are making a 3- piece SOF, Won't you need bulheads that bolt
together ? If so, that will make the boat much heavier....unless you have
a different take-apart solution. Plus, the "extra-tough" skin will likely
be extra heavy. Sounds like a 35 - 40 lb. SOF to me ... unless I'm missing
somthing, which if often the case

Wouldn't it just be easier to make a wood frame folder ? It will sure pack
smaller and be lighter weight than a 3-section SOF.
