: Perhaps you used "lead" instead of "aluminum" You
: could glue in the seat,
: or use lashing / Epoxy. That should save you a few ounces.

Hi Tom,

I also used foot floors so you have to almost double that weight, and the boat's awfully light so it added almost 6%.

Next time, even being three piece, I'm going after a sub 30 lb. boat, 10 pound pieces should be pretty easy to handle, and this is with an extra tough skin
