How much does your seat attachment hardware weigh ?

The combined weight of the 3 small machine screws , 3 nuts, and the 1/16"
aluminum angle and plate for each floor attachment assembly on my boats weight
at most 4 ounces . Since 4 sets are required per boat, that makes the total
at most one pound ( 16oz ). The floor pictured comes from a 24 lb Sea Rider.

Perhaps you used "lead" instead of "aluminum" You could glue in the seat,
or use lashing / Epoxy. That should save you a few ounces.
