There is an alternative for bulkheadless kayaks - not entirely uncomplicated but working, in conditions where it is possible to enter such a kayak.

Have the swamped boat alongside the rescuer, and the swimmer reaching over your foredeck to the far side of the rim of his own boat. Tilt your kayak towards the swamped boat (lowering the sheer to the water) and ask the swimmer to put his elbows on your sheer and raise his underarms, bringing hos boat vertical in the water. By tilting your kayak slowly the other way (lifting the sheer) the swamped boat is lifted out of the water enough to get almost emptied (the swimmer just keeps the kayak vertical with the elbows on your deck, no lifting). By doing this slowly you lift only the hull, not water. Hold one hand on the hull to help keeping the kayak in balance.

This reduces the amount of water considerably witout risking damages on either kayak or involving any heavy lifting of any involved.
