Problem is there is a huge number of used fiberglaas boats on the market that with tiny amount of work compared to building one you can have a boat that you can use and still offer a very reasonable resale.
For that matter, if you want to build, there are other materials like fiberglass or wood that are much easier to sell once you get tired of the bills of ownership.
