Maybe the pictures can give you an idea of the wood colors, but lighting makes difference also. I used Peruvian Walnut and American Black Walnut side by side on this boat and it was hard to tell the difference in their darkness. I think I remember Ebony as being very black but I rejected it as being too heavy or expensive. Can't remember for sure now.
