Most racks available for my car look much like the rack on Tom's vehicle in another post close by. Seems I am wrong to think that its not a solid set up - obviously, a company wouldn't open themselves up to all that would go along with kayak/bicycle/luggage-laden roof racks coming off the top of vehicles at speed....
