Hmm...never gave it a thought, but for long distance travel with a yak, other than a folder, a three piece boat might be nearly ideal. Would sure beat paying for $3+ gallon gas with a boat on the roof creating drag.

Never could quite get used to folders, they never seem to look finished, the skin never seems tight. (Tom, yeah I know about the inflatable )

Might be an interesting project, I've got I think all the materials now for another SOF, might be fun
