The CLC seat I'm referring to is this one: http://www.clcboats.com/shop/products/boat-gear/creature-comfort-seat.html Has anyone else here tried one?

That's a Nimbus kayak seat, so putting Nimbus in your search for online reviews might bring up some info.
A lot of people like them; I read several comments that said: "Most comfortable seat in any kayak" "Best seat I've ever used", etc..

I like my kayak seats hard and slippery, like the NDK style. No backband required. It's a big world with something for everybody! :-)
