: Sorry Bill... what do you meant by that? What webs?
: Sis I am really newbby... what do you mean by doubling exactly?
: I am going to do the yost's way and he suggests wodden pegs to
: joint the sections. Am I wrong?

Searching for terms to describe a fuselage frame. Web: picture an I beam, the upright member between the plates at the top and the bottom is the web. I was using this term to describe the width of the wood for each section of the frame be it the part at the deck or the part at the sides or the bottom.

Doubling: when you use boards instead of plywood, you can't cut the whole frame from one board normally would require finding a board that's like 15" wide, very expensive if you could find one and the sides would be very weak since it the grain would run across the piece not down the length. So the frames are built up from narrow boards and lapped where the boards meet at the corners, that's doubling of the wood.

There's another problem with this, you can't just go buy 1/2" thick boards, softwood normally comes either 1" (3/4" actual) thick or 2" (1 1/2" actual) thick. So you'd need to plane the wood to get 1/2" thick boards, big waste of material or you'd have to re-saw the wood from thicker stock, which is a lot of work. Also clear softwood is fairly expensive, plywood is cheap, easy to find in the correct thickness and easily wide enough to get the whole frame from one piece and has no grain issues.
