The height of the cockpit recess (where forms 8, 9, and 10 are broken or cut) is given at the bottom of the offset table on page 54 in Nick's book. I drew a horizontal line across each form at this height on my paper forms. BTW, I found this a little confusing during the drawing phase of my project also, but after I started to put things together it all made more sense.
