Thanks Mike,

I had a look at the website. The prices are excellent but when I re-linked to the mail order site, the 3" foam is not listed. I suppose I could laminate to get the 3" thickness, but I won't bother if I find a good alternative.

For perspective, the local kayak dealer here wants ~$40 Cdn / sq ft for 4" minicell. That would make the blank for the seat almost as expensive as the epoxy to build the boat...
