Hi,
1. I am about to build the hatch lip for my first build. On Nick's book it is recommended to apply six layers of 6oz glass in order to build the lip. I have some 9oz glass left that I want to use for lip, how many layers do you think should be enough?

2. I have purchased the foam hatch gasket from CLC. it is 3/4" wide, and 7/16" thick. Is it too wide? if not, then should I find a 3/4" wide X 1/4" thick for the channel mold?
