Years ago I had a half-finished kayak that was most of the way stripped around the strongback using stapleless method. I moved overseas and wrapped the kayak in plastic and stuck it on top of all the other stuff in the container. The container was shipped by truck to the dock and then by boat about 1500 miles. Arriving here it was unloaded and put back on the building stands outside on the porch where it got rained on a few times before it was finished. That kayak is now some ten years old and going strong. No need to worry. Just tie it down good and go slow over bumps.
