: Hi,

: I'm going to be stripping the deck on my night heron hybrid
: sometime in the next few months and i was debating between bead
: and cove or a rolling bevel. The design i'm planning has several
: curving elements and some thinner accent strips which i am
: assuming aren't done with bead and cove (at least not the
: 1/8" accent strips). Would it be worth making all my strips
: with bead and cove or will i end up planning off most of them
: anyway? Thoughts?

: Thanks All,

Actually with most decks there is very little bevel required. The downside to the B&C is that as the strips are tapered the B&C is removed and has to be added somehow to match the rest of the strips. Makes the B&C harder than using the rolling bevel at least to me.

Also gaps that are very evident with the rolling bevel are masked somewhat with the B&C, so you can have gaps you don't know are there.
