The darker parts are WRC as well. The lighter wood on the deck and original hull is white pine. The stems are ash, and the nose and tail are cherry.
I spend hours pawing through the cedar at the lumber suppliers. I find an occasional dark piece of WRC which generally has really nice grain structure. I use these for accent strips and areas. Most of the WRC I've found here (Eastern Canada) is light tan or pinkish. It darkens down some with epoxy.
