: Thanks, Jay. That's a good read.

I just wish I'd used the seat in my old CD Sirocco for a mold when I owned it, lousy timing there. I've decided that the best seats are hard, the best poly and fiberglass seats seem to be the most comfy. The only factory seat I've got now is the NDK one and it's horrible. Though the simple seat on my Cobra is pretty good, might try making a mold from it.

Still, over the winter I want to play with the old idea that Tom Yost had of using a fabric sling seat, sort of hang in the boat on it. I've owned on several non-kayak items several sling seats that are very comfy long term and quite supportive too and breath very well. Sounds like the ideal, assuming I can find the time to do it.
