: I'm considering the addition of an 0-ring to my beckson screw-in
: deck plate so that it seals with a gasket, and not by tight fit
: that leaks when it's got sand on it and freezes up when the
: temperature changes. Has anyone tried this? I'll probably try it
: regardless, just don't want to reinvent the wheel.

They're supposed to have an o-ring on them. Yours doesn't?

Notice that after each deck plate, they list the replacement seal.
