All my Facebook settings say Public. My 8th graders find it (then print out my photo, scrawl some obscenity or taunt and leave it in my classroom--if they some how do that with the shark video, I'll erase the bad names and send it to you).
I just tried setting up a YouTube account to post it there. Complete hassle. I never got past the silly screwed-up-word test. Some of them were impossible to read, other times I was certain I did it correctly but was still rejected. I can build a kayak, speak and write Chinese (well some) but I can't get through a 4 part internet form. I'll speak to Sergey Brin about it should I ever meet him five miles off shore in a kayak he's made himself.

Thanks for sharing your spooky encounter. Laughing at the end is always best. People who get scared and stay scared seem to be missing most of the fun.
Just take my word for it, the Thresher Shark was big, it was right under my kayak. It was exciting. I began breathing hard. I sort of remember a point where I thought, this shark is seriously checking me out, and thinking I'd better not dangle my arm over the side, but I don't remember beginning to breath hard--and yet it's on the tape.

I love paddling at night. The most dangerous part of it for me is when there's a red tide. The blue glow of my hull and paddle moving through the water are so mesmerizing I become hypnotized.
