Skin-on-Frame: Sea tour question

So I have a friend who wants me to build him a boat this winter. He currently has a Wilderness Systems capehorn which is 22 inches wide, 15 ft long. He wants something lighter weight and faster but still very stable. My thoughts are a Sea tour 15. Although it is similar dimensions, the lighter weight will make it faster. My hope is that the Sea Tour is still a very stable boat. Any thoughts from anyone who has paddled a Sea Tour (Dave Gentry)???

Consequently, I'm going to re-build my Sea otter (which I dislike) into a Sea Tour for myself.
