Hi folks,
This may not be strictly for this forum so i apologise in advance. I picked up an old fibleglass kayak recently. It looks pretty good and there is no obvious structural damage, cracks or repairs.

However its quite heavy, as heavy as my old perception corsica and the weight is unbalanced when you lift it. Its quite nose heavy. It also has quite a few a small bubbles or blisters under the coating which are hard and cannot be pressed.

I put it on the water last night, it runs smoothly, and absolutely no leaks. The nose is not obviously digging in but it is not much/any faster than a plastic.
Wondered if any of you can throw some light on what might be the cause?
All the best,
Peter
