I too have used the Jas. Townsend material and when I tested it to failure it seemed to break at around 60 pounds on the old spring scale I had. So the 70 pound rating seems to be reasonable. Plus, when I purchased mine about 18 months ago they had the best price. Shipping was high so I bought a "lifetime supply".
