Yeah, Ross's Whiptail is a real looker, alright. Has anyone given it a big water workout yet?

There have been two Outer Islands built here in Texas with one vertical inch added to the formers ahead of the seat area expressly to increase foot room. Both are very satisfactory as far as I've ever heard. I can vouch for the fact that they look fine, can't tell anything's different unless you really study 'em.

: Very true, but we should add to that, "Making sure you keep a
: fair curve". Sometimes making a change can screw all that
: nice geometry up. It's funny, people are always wanting to make
: a kayak bigger to fit big feet or long legs, but in the end most
: end up installing pads to make it more snug!

: I had not seen the Whiptail before, but wow, that's one pretty
: boat. It seems she would be a good all-around boat with good
: rocker for open water, and a lot of bow buoyancy for surfing.
: Then again, the other two boats are also awesome well-proven
: designs. Tough choice, but great lineup. I think either one
: would be a great choice.
