: I dropped my Guillemot on a sharp rock, crushing the glass and
: cedar. To repair it, i used a dremal to remove the crushed glass
: and a bit of the cedarplus some of the varnish around the damged
: area. I filled the depression in the wood with some thickeened
: epozy then added a fiberglass patch. This was done Monday. Last
: night using a steel cabinet scraper, I trimmed the patched area
: back into shape. I used a West epoxy repair kit, I beleive it is
: type 105 (maybe?), it was the fast cure hardener in any case.
: How long should i wait before appling the varnish to the
: repaired area?

I would wait a minimum of 4 days. While the initial cure will be much faster the epoxy continues to cure for at least a month but after 4 days at normal room temperature it'll have reached about 90% of the cure.

It'll cure faster at warmer temperatures and slower at cooler temps btw.
