Thanks. BTW, that's aspen rather than poplar; I think I've read here before it's okay, as well.

On an unrelated note - I've been watching for a decent table saw for strip cutting; seems I'm not as good at it as some here! I'd used my bil's little 13 amp 'basic' for my first - and it worked remarkably well - but they 're-liberated it', so..... All the similar saws were going for $150 - not worth it - so I ordered a DeWalt dw745. I believe some here use that. Predictably, the 'cheap, basic' went on sale - literally 2 days later - for $65. It's not much of a saw, but for strips, it was fine. The DeWalt was $300, but from reviews, much
better saw. Maybe it's a sign....
