: Welcome back Robert, sorry the trip didn't go as planned but nice
: to have you back just the same.

Thanks, Bill

As always, Bill, I make decisions and live with no regrets. The trip went as it had to and I am glad it went as it did. The prospect of not paddling to either Winnipeg or Churchill bothers me not one whit. Lake Winnipeg will always be there for me to paddle...as for Churchill, if I decide to make that run, I will find someone interested and capable of making it with me so that one of us can stand guard while the other sleeps. I did suggest to Linda that perhaps when her skills are up to it, we can do the run to York Factory and have a bush plane scheduled to pick us up according to plan to minimize the bear risk. As for my body, the nerve problem is better but not perfect. I go to visit my very capable chiropractor this afternoon. I am sure I avoided permanent nerve injury so that I can go out there again some day. Linda and I will be driving out to Norway House next summer with the VJ and a Waters Dancing 16 EX that I am building for her 50th birthday. The lakes and myriad islands in that area are awesome to visit and paddle and the fishing is amazing. It's easy to hook a two foot pickerel...I saw the fishermen doing that while I was on the lake. Can't wait for next years trip. To Glen Smith: we will be driving to Nova Scotia next summer and I would like to stop by your place and show off the boats and chat. I will keep you informed. As for now, got to pack my gear, heading up to the Rocky Mountains Kananaski area for three days of hiking. Won't be bringing the kayaks: got to rest the body.
