I went to West Marine to pickup a tube of Lexel/3M 4200 - they either had a small squeeze tube of 4200 for $14 or a 3x+ bigger caulk gun tube for $21. Well, my spasticness got the best of me and bought the bigger tube.

I'm not sure how much I need - but I'm fairly certain it's less than this whole bigger tube. Since it's used in a caulk gun, you slice the applicator and puncture the head of the tube itself.

Does anyone have any recommendations for how I could close this back up for use later? My father-in-law mentioned something about pushing a nail down it (and then continued with cutting out hardened 4200 later), but I'm not 100% certain about that.

Ideas?
