Left somewhat later than expected. Linda didn't want to sleep as it was to be her last evening with me before I went out and disappeared ala John Krakaueresque (he always seems to write about guys who die in the wilderness). I had 3 hrs of sleep before I started the 14-hr drive to Winnipeg. Slept in a parking lot not far from Edmonton, still got to Winnipeg in good time. Thankfully, the RCMP in western Canada spend most of their time in donut shops than on the highway.
