Hey, Rod...glad to hear you are nearing the end of the building process. You want to fill the weave with enough epoxy that the weave pattern does not show on the final finish. Add more epoxy where the weave shows. Once cured, sand the whole shebang smooth but do not sand into the weave or you will have to recoat the exposed glass. Sanding should be done with fine paper so that you don't remove cured epoxy too quickly: believe me, I've been there and done that...it ain't pretty. Your final finish should be quite smooth with no epoxy runs showing and no gaps or gouges. A finer finish will make for a prettier kayak.
