Has anyone on the forum used the SPT lockable tie-down straps? I have had the looped cable type of lock that requires putting a loop around the bow and another loop around the stern, then take up most of the slack in the connecting cable by weaving and wrapping it around the roof rack cross bars before attaching a padlock to the two cable parts. All of that is in addition to the usual tie-down straps. CLC just sent me an email ad that included tie-down straps with stainless steel reinforced cables inside the webbing and locks built into the buckles. They're not cheap, but they look to be convenient enough that I might actually use them more than they type I already have, but rarely use.

Have any of you seen or used these? I value your opinion. I tell you, it's a bitch to be both paranoid and a cheapskate.

Here's a link to CLC's site. (I have no connection with CLC)
