: hi i am from the uk and although we mainley use metric measurements
: we do understand imperial (feet and inches) i am trying to build
: nicks guillemot double. i have lofted the points from the book
: the strip built sea kayak. i did find the table very difficult
: to understand as some dimensions were a-b axis and others b-a
: axis this made it very time consuming and now i have come to
: assemble the forms on the strongback some of my forms seem
: wrongand the bow and stern form dont seem to work at all. does
: it work or am i stupid? i may be as well burning all my forms
: and purchasing some full size plans from him directly.

I'm building a Guillemot double and found the same trouble lofting from the book as you. Since this is my first strip built, I ended up purchasing the plans for $105??so I wouldn't lose sleep wondering....
I did verify that I was correct in my lofting (with the published corrections) by comparing my frames with the plans. Glad to know someone else is in the process of building a G-double. Best of luck,
