: I was searching the archives and i came across a statement that was
: used in passing that the guy had "at last found and really
: red colour" for his kayak.
: I tried to get a really red paste for my epoxy but could only get a
: rather orange looking red. I would love to find a really red
: epoxy paste. OR..... A really red stain for the ply that will
: accept epoxy on top of it.

: Can anyone help please?

The Toucan yak...

Blue is Solar Lux, Red and yellow is Mixol. I didn't see Solar Lux haveing a red red. Mixol has several reds. What you see is #4 oxide red. They say the oxide stuff is better for outside. Just put it on this week and it is my first use of it. The red could be more red with less dilution. Most likely glass it Thursday. So I can't say yet how it works. Looks nice. Paulownia wood.
