Premapro is the only North American distributor for Coelan. It's pretty expensive, but it is very durable. There is a lot of info on the Qajaq USA site about how much people actually use, and that may be the best gauge. Tony Nuskin at Premapro can give you accurate information for coverage per unit of area (foot, meter, yard, whatever), but it's really hard to calculate the surface of something complex like a boat. If you know the weight of your fabric, though, you can calculate your hull's area. Weigh your fabric before you skin your boat, and then weigh what you cut off and don't use. This will give you the weight of the fabric you used, and you can then find the surface area of the hull by using the weight of the fabric per unit of area. If you used 8 oz (per square yard) fabric, and you ended up using 24 oz of fabric on your hull, you know you used 3 square yards of fabric, and your hull has a surface of 3 square yards.

It seems silly to do all of that work, but Coelan is expensive and doesn't keep very well once you open the can, so you want to be as accurate as possible.
