I bought a router a while ago to build a stripper. I also wanted it for cutting designs in 1/2" plywood . these designs were freehand and rulers or straightedge rulers wouldnt apply.

Wow did that go awful.

The router had a mind of its own like some giant oversized dremel with a voracious appetite for eating wood - IN ANY DIRECTION.

Does anyone have any tips here for using a router with some control? I need it to sweep along different freehand curves and man - it just doesnt care.

Pete
