S&G: need help with design

Hey all,
I seem to be in the mood to revive old failures. I'm also thinking about doing a chine log s&g. I realize I could just do a mouse boat design but am curious about an 8ft surfboard looking sit on top type concept. My current idea is to make a completely flat completely symmetric (top and bottom) chine log boat and use SOF to build some shape into the bow. OR... I could just ask for advise on making the sides fit to a shaped bow.
I'm looking for something 8ft long, 30inches wide for most the boat except for the last 1.5ft arching to the tip with a nice 45 degree angle bow. Now the tricky part. I would like the top and bottom pieces to remain flat (no rocker) and the bow to raise above the top a little bit (6inches) leaving a spray shield type effect. About 6 inches deep (maybe 8?) and a blunt stern with a 45 degree angle along the stern end top to bottom. Sides would be at 90 degrees because it would be easier to build with chine logs. I know this sounds like a hideously ugly boat, but it just might be fun with my dog or in the middle of some of the wetlands around here.
Could someone interpret my design or direct me towards some easy software. I'm pretty good building boats except they are all SOF.
Thanks,
Scott
