Probably not $2 or $3, more like $12-$15 each, which is the reason for the cheap bearings in the first place, to keep the costs down.

Still a new upper and lower bearing is cheap compared to a new saw.

Btw, though I've not done it yet, will eventually, Highland Woodworking (I think that's right) offers a real nice handwheel blade tensioner with acme threads that would be a nice upgrade for that saw, uses like a 6" handwheel with a spinner on it instead of the little plastic one that's stock, and as I remember it's relatively cheap too. Not looked at their website in awile, might have other upgrades too.
