I won't use a single layer of 4 oz. e-glass on my boats.

I tried it and found it dented very easily.

If you live where you have mud or sand shores, and don't drop your car keys on the deck,
it may work for you.

I live with sharp mussel beds, rocky shores and I'm gravitationally challenged.

If you wish to go lighter-weight I believe the extra cost of 4 oz. s-glass is worth the price.

I didn't mention it because I don't recommend it.
