: once you have built a strongback beam that is straight and flat, so that all
: measurements that come off its top surface at 90deg are true.
: does the strongback really need to be levelled?
: can it not sit on a sloping surface and be moved from one position to another
: etc?

hi,

good question. don't know about bow-to-stern level, but i should think that it might be a good idea to be able to tilt it 45 deg sideways, to both sides.

this could be done with simple 45 deg wedges between which the SB fits snugly. and a flat surface also, for the normal position.

I am thinking back on my own stripping and glassing, and this option would have made certain stages much less messy and easier. includes sanding as well.

rats! why did i not think of this a year ago!? ;(
