Dang, now that I've been exposed to it enough, I've got used to the look of the F1's blunt bow, and this pointy one just doesn't look right.

:)

The rest of the hull looks about right, though.

As far as pearling, as another poster asked, according to Brian, the knuckle chines at the bottom of the gunwales provides just the right amount of extra volume the boat needs. It makes a big difference if they are left off, and if you look at the wave pictures on Brian's web site, you'll see why, given the Pacific surf at Manazanita, OR. Also, the peaked deck really sheds water quickly, something I've noticed doesn't happen on the flat deck of my Yost Sea Rider when the bow sticks into 2' wind chop.

The Rhino intrigues me, being that I usually surf mush on the NJ Shore in a Riot Boogie surf boat. The length and bow shape imply a much quicker paddle out through the break, and more speed to catch ankle-biter waves, but I wonder if that bow would prevent me making decent turns on the face (when there is face.) Could always screw some fins into the bottom of that Rhino...
