Living in the city with no garage and limited storage, I'd been lamenting that I couldn't get in on the fun of building. The lack of space just didn't work. It turns out that the Chicago Park District has, of all things, a woodshop with a woodworking instructor staffing it to help people with their projects. 5 blocks from home. What luck!

I thought I'd start with paddle making, and start simple. Does anybody have plans they've used and recommend? I'd like to build both Greenland and Euro paddles. I have Tom Yost's plan already downloaded.
