Get out there paddling. The link is to a short video of what I'm comfortable
in now - not in the Cormorant, but in my 23"beam fibreglass boat - but I put
my comfort in this sort of water entirely down to having paddled the much
less stable boat in less rough conditions where my companions were within
their comfort zone so I could take risks in the narrow boat and push my skill
levels up. If you're going to find a boat scary - or take it scary places - it
is good to have folk with you who are comfortable in that place or in their
boats so you're not all pushing the envelope together :-)
