: Thanks guys,
: slow drying it is and I did get satin.

Good choice!

: I bought polyester from Dyson Badarka Co. I got 8 oz and have only used nylon
: in the past. I wonder about how it will sew compared to nylon?

It will be pretty much the same. Light fabrics have a lot of give in them, even polyester. You should probably ask Dyson how it compares to their other fabrics.

: Will it shrink the same or maybe more?

That's hard to say. I haven't used the fabric you've got, so I can't say how much it will shrink. I have used Dyson's old 9 oz. polyester and it shrinks a moderate amount. One difference is that to shrink polyester, you heat it. Wetting it won't do any good.

: Will it cut like nylon with a hot knife or something like that.

Yes, there's no difference between Nylon and polyester in that regard.

: If there is a link to information about sewing with polyester that would be
: very helpful.

You can use the same sewing techniques with either fabric, so use whichever one you're comfortable/familiar with. Since polyester is not as elastic as Nylon and it may not shrink as much, you want to make sure to sew the skin tight and pull out any wrinkles. Using Bill Low's sewing technique ensures this, but I don't know if there are any links on the web to it anymore. If you can't find it, email me and I can send you his web pages and the associated graphics.
