Skin-on-Frame: Double up frame? *Pic*

This was discussed in a previous thread and I decided to go ahead and try it. Since my little run-in with the table saw, today was the first chance to get back in the shop. Thumb is doing much better but still looks nasty though.

I made a pattern of my frame so I could easily duplicate it. Used a pattern bit and routed two frames and glued them together. Once dry I took them to the spindle sander and cleaned them up and. rounded over all the edges on the router table.

As you probably see I thinned the frame at the center top to make a bit more knee room for entry. I also thinned all the other sides to but not as much. I have put weight on this and it seems fine. I probably wouldn't go quite as thin at the top on the next one. But then again, once i get it notched and the two deck beams tied into the next frame I suspect it will stiffen up. seems to be a little thing though. But not as thin as it looks in that photo!
