intresting. My worry are things getting superheated in closed compartments and that it hurts to touch a burning hot surface. I do like the ability to slide a kayak over a wood edge or fence,,leaving a black mark behind. On that NorthBay I made I put a 2" wide strip of 9oz linear carbon tape then covered it with graphite. That was slick and hard. The scratches that worry me are the ones with 250lbs-300lbs moving down hard on a sharp rock, not the ones that require cosmetic correction from gentle sliding. For the thickness an ablative layer provides to protect the underlying glass one might as well put more glass in there and less fill coats.
