There are lots of ways to cover a Yost kayak. Tom's way using the stuff that's like Coverlite (they don't make that anymore and I don't remember the trade name for the new stuff, but it's on his web site) works well. Nylon is probably the most popular way to cover SOF's now, it's pretty tough depending on the weight used. Polyester also works but is a harder material in feel, some heat shrinks, most doesn't and has much less stretch than nylon. Then there's my way of using very light aircraft dacron (polyester) then covering that with light fiberglass.
